World's Last Chance

At the heart of WLC is the true God and his Son, the true Christ — for we believe eternal life is not just our goal, but our everything.

While WLC continues to uphold the observance of the Seventh-Day Sabbath, which is at the heart of Yahuwah's moral law, the 10 Commandments, we no longer believe that the annual feast days are binding upon believers today. Still, though, we humbly encourage all to set time aside to commemorate the yearly feasts with solemnity and joy, and to learn from Yahuwah's instructions concerning their observance under the Old Covenant. Doing so will surely be a blessing to you and your home, as you study the wonderful types and shadows that point to the exaltation of Messiah Yahushua as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world.

Did Adam and Eve believe in one God?…or a triune God?

Question: Did Adam and Eve believe in one God?...or a triune God?

Answer:

Triune God? No
  • There is not a single text in the entire Bible that supports the idea that Adam and Eve believed in triune God.
One God? Yes

Throughout Genesis 2-3, we find the English phrase, "LORD God". This doesn't say much; but, when we replace "LORD" with the original word, "Yahuwah (H3068)," the name of the only God of Israel, it is very telling:
  • "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahuwah God made the earth and the heavens..." (Genesis 2:4, KJV)
  • "And Yahuwah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7, KJV)
That this Yahuwah Elohim, Yahuwah God/Mighty, is a single person is abundantly clear in the following vereses.  Note that Yahuwah is described as "I" or "he":
  • And the LORD God (Yahuwah Mighty/God) said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Genesis 2:18, KJV)
  • And the LORD God (Yahuwah Mighty/God) caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. (Genesis 2:21, KJV)
  • And the rib, which the LORD God (Yahuwah Mighty/God) had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. (Genesis 2:22, KJV)
LORD = Yahuwah (H3068)
  • the proper name of the one true God
  • Jewish national name of God
  • but this Name was sadly translated in the Bible as: LORD (6,510x), GOD (4x), JEHOVAH (4x), variant (1x).

God = Elohim (H430)
  • translated in the Bible as: God (2,346x), god (244x), judge (5x), GOD (1x), goddess (2x), great (2x), mighty (2x), angels (1x), exceeding (1x), God-ward (with H4136) (1x), godly (1x).

Adam and Eve knew their Maker, Yahuwah Elohim. He is the heavenly Father and He is one, not two or three Gods. Yahuwah Elohim spoke directly to Eve, so she knew Him and Adam knew Him, the only God, their Father:
  • And Yahuwah Elohim said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. (Genesis 3:13, KJV)
