Program 18: The Scriptures A Safeguard
Memorizing Scripture strengthens our faith in times of trial.
Welcome to WLC Radio, a subsidiary of World’s Last Chance Ministries, an online ministry dedicated to learning how to live in constant readiness for the Savior's return.
For two thousand years, believers of every generation have longed to be the last generation. Contrary to popular belief, though, Christ did not give believers “signs of the times” to watch for. Instead, he repeatedly warned that his coming would take even the faithful by surprise. Yahushua urgently warned believers to be ready because, he said, “The Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” [Matthew 24:44]
WLC Radio: Teaching minds and preparing hearts for Christ's sudden return.
Part 1: (Miles & Dave)
Miles Robey: Hello, hello! Welcome to today’s program. I’m your host, Miles Robey, and with me is Dave Wright.
.
Dave Wright: Welcome! And thanks for tuning in.
Miles: Here at World’s Last Chance, we have a burden to share truth with others. We feel a solemn responsibility to share the truths we’ve learned with others, so they can be warned.
Dave: Forewarned is forearmed! And that’s why the WLC team was pulled together. We have team members literally everywhere but Antarctica! Our mission is to gather up every ray of light available and broadcast it to the world.
Miles: You may hear things you don’t always agree with. That’s okay. But keep studying. Keep gathering information. Take what is good; lay aside the rest, and trust the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth just as promised.
Dave: If you’ve joined us before, you know that we prefer to use the personal name of the heavenly Father, which is Yahuwah, or Yah. God and Lord are simply titles. They’re not names. They’re frequently used to apply to false gods, so we use such titles only for comparison purposes, such as: “Yahuwah is the only true and living god.” It’s just a comparative title. It’s not His actual name.
Miles: The name of the Son is “Yahushua”. So, just be aware! That’s who we’re talking about when we use the names Yah, Yahuwah, or Yahushua.
Okay. Diving right in. Dave has got a special topic he’s been wanting to cover for a while. The little bit we chatted about before going on air sounds very interesting, so I’m going to just turn the time over to him. Dave?
Dave: Thanks, Miles. I’m wanting to talk about one of the most important functions of Scripture.
The Bible is full of promises. The very names of Yahuwah as given in Scripture are themselves promises.
- You’ve got Yahuwah Rapha which means “Yah who heals.”
- You’ve got Yahuwah Shammah or “Yahuwah Our Banner.”
- Then there’s Yahuwah M’Kaddesh which is “Yahuwah who sanctifies.”
There are 360 compound names of Yahuwah in the Bible and every one is a promise.
Miles: A name for every point in the circle, completely surrounding and embracing us.
Dave: Right! Whatever we need, Scripture provides by way of a promise. Every day, Elise O’Brien shares a new promise from Yah’s word with us.
But that’s not all that Scripture is for. The promises are important. They’re in the Bible for a reason. But Yah provided His word for another reason and that’s what I want to focus on today.
In these tumultuous times, the Scriptures are a safeguard. They’re our protection! They’re a hedge of fire enclosing us with an impenetrable barrier the enemy cannot pass.
Miles: It reminds me of that text in 2 Timothy that says: “All scripture is given by inspiration of Yah, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” [2 Tim. 3:16]
Dave: The next verse is just as important. It says why: So “That the man of Yah may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” This is why Yahuwah has given us His word. Yes, to comfort us. Yes, to provide us with promises to meet every emergency.
But it is also given for instruction so we can know the truth! David said, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” [Psalm 119:105] That, right there, that is one of the most overlooked functions of Scripture.
We talk about the “dark ages”? Well, let me tell you: we’re living in an age of darkness now! Spiritual darkness! And it’s made even worse by the fact that we’re all so proud of how much we know. We feel so superior to previous generations. And in our spiritual pride, we are blind.
Miles: You’re talking about the message to the Laodiceans, where Yahushua says: “You say you are rich and increased with goods and in need of nothing, but in reality you’re wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. You make me nauseated!”
Dave: Yes. The increase of light and knowledge, for too many, has led to spiritual pride. It’s true: we do know more—a lot more—than our spiritual forefathers. But that should humble us with a sense of responsibility to use that increased light for the good of others. Sharing truth. Glorifying Yah.
And yet, how many of us, settle ourselves down, content that we know everything necessary for salvation?
Miles: Hmmm. Sadly, the majority of Christendom, I’d have to say.
Dave: The problem with thinking we know everything we need to know is that it leads to a lazy sort of Christianity.
Miles: What do you mean?
Dave: Well, let me illustrate. As a kid in school, there was one teacher that I didn’t like. She was nice enough, I suppose. But she was a by-the-book personality type. She was never willing to take into account any extenuating circumstances. If the rules said such-and-such, there was no bending, no exceptions under any circumstances.
I didn’t like that because, hey! Life happens! Unforeseen situations arise. Sometimes we all need a little grace. But no. She didn’t believe in anything outside a rigid enforcement of the rules. To me, it was lazy teaching. A strict enforcement of the rules was easier for her, but it wasn’t always fair. It wasn’t always just.
Miles: Yeah. I’ve known people like that. But how does that apply to Christianity?
Dave: If you believe you already know everything “necessary” for salvation, you’re not going to expend any time or effort to learn more. You’re not going to study anything new. In fact, the only preachers you’ll listen to, the only books and articles you’ll read, is that which reinforces what you already believe to be truth.
But there’s more. There’s a danger to being a complacent Laodicean who thinks you know it all.
Miles: What’s that? Aside from being lost because of spiritual pride.
Dave: Well, do you know why a person can be lost because of spiritual pride? It’s because they assume that everything new, every idea that is different, every ray of new light is wrong by default!
See, if you already have all the light necessary for salvation, then, by extension, everything else is automatically wrong!
Miles: Ah, yes. I can see that. Something may come along that is, in fact, true; something that is of vital importance for you to know. But if you assume it’s wrong because it’s new, if you assume that of course it is wrong because you already have all light, and since you don’t know that, it must be wrong . . . Yeah. That is a real danger. You’re right.
Dave: I don’t know what idiot was the first one to ever say, “What you don’t know, won’t hurt you,” but it’s not true. What you don’t know can hurt you! It can even kill you!
Miles: That’s really true. We’ve got some friends that moved to the United States a few years ago. They bought a house. Got used to living there. Then, about a year ago, the man’s job required they relocate again. This time to another country.
Well, in this new country, the laws are different. It’s one of the hardest things to get used to when living abroad: adjusting to new laws.
Dave: I’m sure! You grow up in one place, you grow up with a knowledge of the laws there. To move someplace else where the laws are different would be quite an adjustment.
Miles: Oh, it is. In fact, they told me it’s the most stressful part of relocating abroad. Anyway, expecting to live in this new place for another few years, they bought another house. But what they didn’t know, did hurt them. You see, in the United States, unless otherwise agreed upon, the buyer covers all closing costs, the cost of the realtor; any cost related to the sale of a house, the buyer pays for.
What my friends didn’t know was that in this new country, it’s the exact opposite! By law the seller pays all closing costs and any fees to a realtor. That’s the law.
Well, not knowing this, the real estate agent took advantage of their ignorance and made double on the sale of the property. He took the commission from the sellers, but he also charged the buyers. My friends, not knowing the local laws, paid him. They didn’t know any better so they were out an extra $10,000 dollars they otherwise would not have had to pay.
Dave: Ooo! That had to hurt.
Miles: Yeah, it did.
Dave: Thanks for sharing their story, though, because it illustrates the point perfectly: you can’t skate around the law by claiming ignorance. What you don’t know can indeed hurt you. And that is the danger of being a Laodicean, of assuming that anything new and different is, of course, wrong by default because if it were true, you’d already know it!
That is faulty logic. We’re going to continue to learn and grow throughout all eternity! So, we certainly can’t claim to have arrived at all truth.
Again, that is the most overlooked, but extremely important function of Scripture. It is vital that everyone living today search the Bible to know the truth. We need to study, not just for the promises, not just for the code of ethics on how to live our lives, but for pure doctrine!
Listen, Satan’s delusions are masterful! He’s become better at lying over the millennia. His deceptions are far more subtle, and thus far more beguiling and deceiving, than ever before.
Miles: Oh, it’s true! He takes just the smallest amount of error, mixes it in with a lot of truth, and voilà! He’s got a lie that can deceive even the elect.
Dave: Twenty percent truth and 80% error isn’t going to deceive anyone. But you get 90% truth, 95% truth, and you mix in just a wee amount of error, all of a sudden it’s a different matter. People start to rationalize away the error simply because it comes attached to so much truth!
Miles: So what are we to do? How can your average Joe Doe, no advanced degrees in theology, hope to discern what is truth from what is delusion and error?
Dave: Well, first of all, you don’t need to have advanced degrees in theology in order to understand Scripture. Don’t be intimidated and think you have to have a pastor or a priest tell you what to believe! Sure, they’ve been to seminary. But the truth is, the Bible was written for the common man. Therefore, the interpretation given by the common man is going to be more in line with the original intent of the author.
Remember, too, Miles, that spiritual things are spiritually discerned. A humble truth seeker, who studies her Bible prayerfully at her kitchen table can gain far more profound insights into truth when under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit, then a doctor of divinity, with a string of degrees after his name, who relies on his own “wisdom” to parse out prophecy.
Miles: That’s true. That’s very true. My wife was sharing a point of truth with a good friend of hers. Our families have been friends since we had our first child years ago. They’re good people. But the other woman is like this, this . . . mind-slave to her pastor’s opinions. Whatever he disapproves of, she disapproves of. She won’t think for herself!
My wife has tried sharing a couple of points with her, actually. And each time she runs to her pastor to get his opinion. If he disapproves, she won’t accept it no matter how consistent it is with Scripture.
Dave: In essence, she’s trusting her pastor to keep her spiritually safe, rather than Yahuwah.
Miles: Yeah. Yeah, basically, I guess you’re right. Put that way, it’s really sad. So, first, we trust the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. That is, after all, what Yahushua promised.
Dave: It is. In fact, why don’t you read it for us, Miles? I want everyone listening to be inspired with faith that they can trust the Father to keep their souls safe and lead them into truth.
Miles: All right. Let’s see . . . uh, it’s found in John 16. It says:
“It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”
Dave: That’s a promise! The Holy Spirit is to be your teacher! The very breath of Yah that called the universe into existence is to be your divine instructor. Don’t you think it’s got the power to enable you to grasp the deep things of Yah?
Miles: Of course! And because it is the spirit of Yah, your Creator who knows you intimately, the spirit is far more capable of teaching you than a pastor or a priest!
Dave: Precisely. Okay. Now, read the next two verses. These are important.
Miles: Um . . . “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.” [John 16:7-8, 12-13]
Interesting. We were never meant to settle down at ease and assume we knew it all.
Dave: No! If, after three and a half years under the direct tutelage of Yahushua Himself, the disciples still had more to learn, we can assume we have more to learn, too.
So, trust Yahuwah to keep your mind safe as you study new ideas. He won’t allow you to be beguiled and deceived against your will. However, if you don’t study, He can’t teach you the new things He knows you’re going to need to know in the days ahead.
Miles: Good point. Stay tuned folks! We’ll be right back.

If I were to ask you when a day starts, what would you say? Midnight? That IS when one date changes to another. But if I were to ask you when the Sabbath begins, what would be your answer?
A lot of people assume the Sabbath begins Friday evening at sunset. The shocking truth, however, is that Scripture does reveal when a day begins, but it’s neither midnight nor sunset!
If you would like to know when the Bible teaches a day begins, go to our website at WorldsLastChance.com. Look for the video: “When does a day begin?”

* * *Part 2: (Miles & Dave)
Miles: We’ve been talking today about how Scripture is to function as a safeguard from the devil’s delusions and that we are to study Scripture for ourselves.
Dave: You can’t take the word of your priest or pastor. You have to know truth for yourself. And the only way you can do that is if you spend time in Bible study for yourself.
Miles: So, say someone sends us a link to an online article presenting an idea we’ve never thought of before. Or, more, maybe it’s something we’ve always assumed was wrong. What are we to do?
Dave: Exactly what Scripture says we are to do. Isaiah 8 says: “To the law and to the testimony; if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” [Is. 8:20]
This gets back to your story before about your friends who got taken advantage of because they didn’t know the laws in the new country. The same holds true with truth. If you haven’t been taught, personally, by Yah, how are you going to know what is true and what isn’t?
Miles: Well, you really can’t.
Dave: Satan knows this. That’s why he does absolutely everything he can to prevent people from obtaining a knowledge of the Bible. For some, it’s the stressors of modern life: they’re too distracted or worried to set aside time to focus on Yah’s word.
For others, Satan keeps them so busy, they feel they can’t squeeze in the time for deep, personal time in the study of Scripture.
Miles: Well, it gets back to priorities. We’re all busy, but whatever your top priorities are, they always somehow manage to get accomplished.
Dave: They do. For others, like your wife’s friend, they’ve been taught that they can’t really dig deep for themselves. They have to be taught by some religious leader. They basically don’t trust Yahuwah to lead them individually. So they give the power of life and death—eternal life and death—over to their personal spiritual guru. If he says something is wrong, they’ll reject it without further thought.
Miles: That right there is a mistake. As we’ve learned, while every denomination and in fact, every religion has some truth, all have some error as well. It’s in the vested interest of priests and pastors to maintain the status quo of their particular denomination. They’re not going to welcome anything that challenges the belief structure from which they draw a pay cheque.
Dave: That’s sad, but it’s true. Very true.
And, you think about it, this is exactly the same mistake made by the Israelites when Yahushua came the first time. The common people heard Him gladly. Multitudes flocked to Him! It was the leaders that rejected Him! And, tragically, many who had at first gladly received Him, turned their backs. They entrusted their souls to religious leaders who were nothing more than whited sepulchers: white-washed tombs filled with decaying bodies: utter putrification.
Miles: Euuw! Yeah. That’s a good point.
Dave: Satan is constantly trying to attract attention to man instead of Yahuwah. He gets people to look to bishops, pastors, professors of theology, as their guides, instead of searching the Scriptures for themselves. And there is danger in this because, by controlling the minds of these leaders, he can influence multitudes who follow their leading.
Listen, friends, when Yahuwah sends warnings we better sit up and pay attention. It’s at the risk of eternal loss to ignore such important warnings!
Miles: You’re right. I know, for myself, I am feeling convicted that I need to spend more time in careful study of Yah’s word. There’s so much wasted time during the day. Even just a few minutes here or there, that can be better spent in learning truth so we won’t be deceived by anything the devil tries to throw at us.
Dave: Paul foresaw our day. He wrote Timothy about it, explaining: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” [2 Timothy 4:3-4]
Miles: That’s really interesting, your bringing this passage up in this context. Usually, you only hear it from the pulpit. Pastors like to warn against new light by quoting from this text. They actually accuse those who are studying for themselves of having itching ears!
Satan’s really turned this text on its head. He’s actually made it so people are afraid to even consider anything new for fear of being led astray! It’s a really deceptive use of this passage.
Dave: Well, what it is, is a lack of trust in Yahuwah to keep them safe from satanic delusions. But it’s not all the individual’s fault.
Roman Catholics are known for teaching that only the Church can be trusted to properly interpret Scripture. But, to a lesser degree, all denominations basically teach the same thing. They teach that, since their denomination has the truth, you need to let them instruct you in the correct interpretation of the Bible. And in all this, Satan wins a victory because the individual is kept away from individual Bible study.
But, the good news is, people are waking up. They’re laying aside error and following truth. Like the reformers, they’re insisting on sola scriptura: The Bible and the Bible alone as the standard for every practice, and the foundation for every doctrine.
Miles: One thing you hear a lot in Christianity today is this idea that it doesn’t really matter what you believe as long as you live a good life. What do you have to say to that?
Dave: Well, certainly Scripture teaches that Yahuwah, in His great love and mercy, “winks” at times of ignorance. That said, we each have a personal responsibility for seeking and finding truth for ourselves.
You see, the life is molded by the beliefs. If your beliefs are in error, inevitably, in some area or another, your actions will be in error, too. And can any of us afford to not learn everything we can about the truth?
Miles: Hmm. No. No, we really can’t be lax when it comes to truth. Especially now, so near the end.
Dave: I read a quote the other day that really struck me. It said: “If light and truth is within our reach, and we neglect to improve the privilege of hearing and seeing it, we virtually reject it; we are choosing darkness rather than light.”
Obviously, we’re not held accountable for the truth we’ve never had a chance to learn. But we do have a responsibility for the truth available to us, and we have a responsibility to actively seek out more truth.
Solomon observed: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” [Proverbs 14:12]
Ignorance is no excuse for error when Yahuwah Himself has promised to be our teacher through His own spirit!
Miles: A person can be sincere, and yet sincerely wrong.
So, in light of all this, do you have any pointers on just how we can go about learning the truth? I think everyone listening would agree that they want to be preserved from Satan’s delusions. So, practically speaking, how do you go about following truth?
Dave: I’m glad you asked, Miles. First, determine in your heart, make it a conscious decision to follow the truth regardless of the cost. Truth carries with it the cross of obedience. In every parable of Yahushua about the kingdom of Heaven, He always warned that it would cost everything. Make it a conscious choice that you will follow truth wherever it leads regardless of the cost. Our words impact ourselves! So be firm with yourself! Put the truth first. Always.
Secondly, never study the Bible without prayer. As we said earlier, spiritual things are spiritually discerned. If you’ve only got ten minutes, you’ll learn more in five minutes, if you spend the first five in prayer. Only the spirit of Yah can impress upon our hearts that which is important, and keep us from incorrectly interpreting that which we may not yet be ready to understand.
Like David, we should pray, “Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law.” [Psalm 119:18]
Miles: That’s a very important prayer to pray. Have you ever noticed that the more time you spend away from Bible study and prayer, the less you want it?
Dave: Oh, yeah.
Miles: It’s so easy to slip into bad habits. But the time we want to pray least, is when we need it most!
Dave: It’s true! If you find the thought of Bible study and prayer boring, that’s a red flag. Take it as a warning. Don’t delay to dive back into Bible study and prayer because temptations can appear irresistible when we’ve neglected prayer and Bible study.
If our thoughts have been filled with worldly things rather than heavenly things, at the time of temptation, it’s going to be hard to remember Yahuwah’s promises and meet Satan with the sword of truth. But if we keep our minds and hearts focused on Yah, then in our time of need, His spirit can bring to our memory just the promise to fit our current situation.
And even if memorization is hard for you, don’t be discouraged. If you’ve spent time with Him in prayer and Bible study, He can still bring the concept to mind. The promises aren’t some magic mantra that must be recited word-for-word. What’s important is knowing what He has promised. If you know the intent, you can claim the promise.
But you’ve got to spend that time with Him. It’s important.
Miles: Well, we’re about out of time—
Dave: I’d like to close really quick with a quote.
It says: “In summer there is no noticeable difference between evergreens and other trees; but when the blasts of winter come, the evergreens remain unchanged, while other trees are stripped of their foliage. So the false-hearted professor may not now be distinguished from the real Christian, but … let opposition arise, let bigotry and intolerance again bear sway, let persecution be kindled, and the half-hearted and hypocritical will waver and yield the faith; but the true Christian will stand firm as a rock, his faith stronger, his hope brighter, than in days of prosperity.”
That, my friends, is what happens when you make Scripture your safeguard.

* * *Daily Promise: (Laura Lee)
This is Elise O’Brien with today’s daily promise from Yah’s word.
A friend of mine was in a dangerous situation. She was scared. She didn’t know what was going to happen, but there was a very real potential for disaster, and only a small chance that everything would be resolved in a safe, harmless manner.
At that time, more than any other, she needed the assurance of Yahuwah’s guidance in her life. She bought a large pad of paper. Next, she wrote in large letters a Bible promise on each page. Then, she taped the pages all around her house. There was a promise on the refrigerator; a promise covering the mirror at the end of the hall. A promise was taped to the back of the front door, and another hung on the wall across from her bed so it would be the first thing she saw in the morning, and the last she saw each night.
Literally every flat surface where her eyes lit as she walked through her home, was covered with a promise from the Word of Yah. She told me later, “It felt like I was living in Yahuwah’s embrace. I didn’t know what the future held, but I KNEW He held the future.”
It wasn’t an easy time for her. It was very frightening. If everything went the way her enemies wanted, it would have been utterly devastating. But she continued to claim the promises. Six months later, everything that was dark and promised potential disaster had been safely resolved. Today, she is happy. She is safe. And she KNOWS Yahuwah KEEPS His promises.
Are you facing a situation where you don’t know what to do? Maybe the future seems dark and you don’t know what to do next. Proverbs 3 declares: “Trust in Yahuwah with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
- Pray,
- Gather information,
- And walk forward.
As you do this, the way will be opened before you as Yahuwah guides you in the way you should go.
We’ve been given great and precious promises. Go and start claiming!
* * *Part 3: (Miles & Dave)
Miles: I have really enjoyed our discussion today. This whole topic reminds me of a quote I read by Ezra Taft Benson, a former United States Secretary of Agriculture. He wrote: “When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place or drop out of our lives. Our love of the Lord will govern the claims for our affection, the demands on our time, the interests we pursue and the order of our priorities.”
Dave: That’s an excellent quote. And it’s so true! Whatever you prioritize as most important, the rest of your life gets rearranged around. When Yahuwah is your number one priority, everything in your life will rearrange itself around Him!
Dallin H. Oaks was a professor of law at the University of Chicago Law School. He wrote: “Desires dictate our priorities, priorities shape our choices, and choices determine our actions.”
We need to take responsibility for our actions and our choices. We need to get our priorities straight. And it all stems from our deepest desires. If you desire to follow Yahuwah, be the price what it may, that alone will arrange your priorities in a way to help you achieve your goal! Then your choices and your actions will lead you on in that same path.
Committing Scripture to memory should be an important priority to every single one of us. And even if we don’t have a passage committed to memory word-for-word, if we have the principles of Scripture hidden in our hearts, we’ll not be led astray.
Miles: As David said: “Thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against Thee.” [Psalm 119:11]
Dave: I love that verse! It’s so much broader than most people ever realize. It’s not just the little particulars—those little actions you should or should not do to honor Yah. It’s more than that. It is knowing the heavenly principles of truth, honesty, integrity, and love. Love for others and love for Yah.
The Scriptures will be our safeguard against all evil, whether that’s the temptations of daily life, or the danger of being led astray theologically!
Miles: That last one, Dave, the danger of being led astray theologically. That’s a very real danger!
Dave: Oh, you better believe it is! And the closer we get to the end, the more subtle are the devil’s delusions. The more danger we’re in of being deceived.
Miles: It is the word of Yah that will keep us safe.
In Ephesians 4, Paul explained that Yahuwah had given great gifts to believers, so that, quote, “We henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” [Ephesians 4:14]
That’s a promise, folks! It is the word of Yah that anchors us in every storm of life. It is the word of Yah that provides the clear light to penetrate every delusion of darkness.
But if you don’t know what the word of Yah says, what good is it going to do you?
Dave: Well, it’s not going to be able to do you much good. And, again, even if you don’t have a particular passage memorized word-for-word, you can still have the principles of Scripture engraved upon your heart! That’s what Yahuwah promises, you know. It’s a promise for each one of us.
Miles: Oh, I love that passage. Let me read it really quickly. Ezekiel 36, verses 26 and 27. It says: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”
Dave: That’s a promise we all need to claim because I’ll tell you, Miles, we are living in very solemn times. So much is happening, it’s hard to keep up with it all!
Miles: That’s very true. In the extreme weather, in political unrest, in the insensible crimes being committed . . . everything’s getting more intense.
Listen, people, Yahuwah has given us His word to get us safely through to the Kingdom. David said, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” [Psalm 119:105]
Dave: It’s just like Elise O’Brien shares with us every day: We’ve been given great and precious promises. Now we need to learn them and start claiming them. That’s what they’re there for!
Miles: The Scriptures are our safeguard. In the days ahead when you don’t know what to do, turn to the word of Yah. He can communicate His will to you through His word!
Maybe you see things getting worse in your country and wish to relocate abroad; maybe you’re in danger of natural disasters; maybe you’re dealing with health issues. Whatever it is, you can find promises to meet your needs within Yah’s word.
But you’ve got to learn what’s in there now!
We need to—each of us—get our priorities straight. Put Yah first, and best, and last in everything. Let Yahuwah lead you into all truth and His word will keep you safe.
We hope you can join us again tomorrow for another truth filled message and until then remember: Yahuwah loves you . . . and He is safe to trust!
