Does the Old Testament promote one God?…or a triune God?

Question: Does the Old Testament promote one God?…or a triune God?

Answer:

Triune God? No

  • There is no text in the Old Testament that says God (Elohim or Yahuwah) is three.
  • There is no text in the Old Testament that says God (Elohim or Yahuwah) is a triune God.
  • There is no text in the Old Testament that says God (Elohim or Yahuwah) is Yahuwah + Yahushua + Holy Spirit, three persons in one God.

One God? Yes

  • The Old Testament states clearly that there is only one God and His name is Yahuwah (H3068):
"Hear O Israel, the LORD (Yahuwah) our God the LORD (Yahuwah) is one." (Deuteronomy 6:4, KJV)

The Father's Name, Yahuwah, had been replaced in the English translation with the title, "LORD" more than 6,500 times. Sadly, millions of Christians have been mislead by this erroneous translation.

Yahuwah (H3068): is the proper name of the one true God, the self-Existent or Eternal

"I am the LORD (Yahuwah) thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:2-3, KJV)
