Yes, they have been keeping track but on the wrong calendar. This complete calendar swap took place among the Jews just following the calendar change by Constantine in A.D. 321-324, by one of their own and High Priest of the Sadducees in A.D. 358 by Hillel II. We can know this for certain because the Julian/Gregorian calendar is not in harmony with the criteria outlined in Scripture. Yahuwah has been keeping track of His own calendar, the light of which has been hidden till such a time as this. Scripture remains the empirical standard for calendation and time keeping.
