World's Last Chance

At the heart of WLC is the true God and his Son, the true Christ — for we believe eternal life is not just our goal, but our everything.

While WLC continues to uphold the observance of the Seventh-Day Sabbath, which is at the heart of Yahuwah's moral law, the 10 Commandments, we no longer believe that the annual feast days are binding upon believers today. Still, though, we humbly encourage all to set time aside to commemorate the yearly feasts with solemnity and joy, and to learn from Yahuwah's instructions concerning their observance under the Old Covenant. Doing so will surely be a blessing to you and your home, as you study the wonderful types and shadows that point to the exaltation of Messiah Yahushua as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world.

John 20:19 – Does this imply Sunday Worship?

This verse is used to support Sunday worship:

“Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Yahushua and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.” John 20:19.

The disciples cannot be meeting here in honor of Yahushua’s resurrection because they had not yet learned of it. The doors were shut “for fear of the Jews” and not for worship. When Yahushua appeared to them He rebuked them for not believing the accounts they heard of His resurrection.

There are only eight texts in the New Testament that mention the first day of the week; none of them imply that it is holy. (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:1, 2; Mark 16:9; 24:1; 20:1; 20:19; 20:7,8; I Corinthians 1 6:1, 2).
