World's Last Chance

At the heart of WLC is the true God and his Son, the true Christ — for we believe eternal life is not just our goal, but our everything.

While WLC continues to uphold the observance of the Seventh-Day Sabbath, which is at the heart of Yahuwah's moral law, the 10 Commandments, we no longer believe that the annual feast days are binding upon believers today. Still, though, we humbly encourage all to set time aside to commemorate the yearly feasts with solemnity and joy, and to learn from Yahuwah's instructions concerning their observance under the Old Covenant. Doing so will surely be a blessing to you and your home, as you study the wonderful types and shadows that point to the exaltation of Messiah Yahushua as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world.

Dear Sir: [or Madame – May use personal name or last name with Mr./Mrs./Ms.]

I am very thankful for my job with [INSERT BUSINESS NAME] and enjoy the work I do here.

I have recently become aware that the Bible historically used a method of time-keeping different from the modern civil calendar, the Gregorian.  As a Christian, I feel it is my duty to observe the holy days that the Bible requires.  These are the weekly seventh-day Sabbaths, monthly New Moons and various annual holy days.

The months on the Biblical luni-solar calendar begin with the New Moon.  Because the weekly cycle restarts every month, this makes my seventh-day Sabbath appear to float through the continuous weekly cycle of the Gregorian calendar.  I am requesting accommodation for my holy days.

In exchange, I am willing to work weekends and national holidays.  The days other people want off, I will usually be available to work.  I can also work six days a week rather than five and can sign a waiver to forgo overtime.  Alternatively, I could be paid for four days of work and work five days per week.  I am willing to negotiate any reasonable adjustment in exchange for your accommodation of my holy days.

I have enclosed a page showing a comparison of the work days available on the Gregorian calendar versus the luni-solar calendar.  I can work a total of 42 additional days per year than the average worker, even with all of my requested days off.

I sincerely hope that a compromise can be reached that is beneficial to [INSERT BUSINESS NAME].  I enjoy so much my employment here and wish to continue.

Sincerely yours,
