World's Last Chance

At the heart of WLC is the true God and his Son, the true Christ — for we believe eternal life is not just our goal, but our everything.

While WLC continues to uphold the observance of the Seventh-Day Sabbath, which is at the heart of Yahuwah's moral law, the 10 Commandments, we no longer believe that the annual feast days are binding upon believers today. Still, though, we humbly encourage all to set time aside to commemorate the yearly feasts with solemnity and joy, and to learn from Yahuwah's instructions concerning their observance under the Old Covenant. Doing so will surely be a blessing to you and your home, as you study the wonderful types and shadows that point to the exaltation of Messiah Yahushua as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world.

Why is the Name YahuWAH rather than YahuYAH?

Question: If the sacred name, Yahuwah, is translated I AM THAT I AM, then why is the name YahuWAH rather than YahuYAH?  Shouldn’t the I AMs both be the same: Yah?

Answer: Using the rules of grammar for English, the answer is yes.  It would be that way.  However, in Hebrew, the wah, used later in the word, is interchangeable with the beginning yah.  For example, 2 Chronicles 20:37 refers to someone named Dodavah.  This name, more properly Dodawah, means love of Yah.  The part of the name that refers to Yahuwah, of course, is the wah!

Nehemiah 7:43 contains a similar example, referring to “the children of Hodevah.”  Again, a more correct pronunciation is Hodewah.  This name means majesty of Yah and the part that refers to Yahuwah is, again, the wah.

B. Earl Allen has written a very well-documented study of the sacred name of Yahuwah.  He goes into a syllable by syllable explanation that is very enlightening.  To read his study, click here.
